Job summary

Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Clinical Dietitian II to assess nutritional status, develop personalized plans, and educate patients and families within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes high-acuity patient care, collaboration with the Food and Nutrition Services, and ongoing training and quality improvement, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with ACEND-accredited dietetics program.
• Three (3) years acute care hospital or similar experience with complex patient populations (pediatric, bariatric, ICU, etc).
• Valid RD registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD, RD-ADA, RD-AND or RD-CDR).

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional status using established guidelines and create personalized nutrition plans.
• Counsel patients, families and caregivers on nutrition plans to manage disease/conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate care.
• Monitor, re-screen and update nutrition plans as patient status changes.
• Coordinate with Food and Nutrition Services to ensure diet orders and menu compliance.
• Participate in training, peer reviews, and quality improvement efforts.
