The clinical dietitian provides assessment of nutritional status and makes recommendations for nutritional needs.
The clinical dietitian directs the development and implementation of a nutritional plan of care; counsels patients in the guidelines, acceptance and selection of foods needed to meet nutritional goals; and counsel's family and/or caregivers.
The clinical dietitian will monitor progress and reassess as indicated to provide long term care when needed.
Position serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary treatment team and as a consultant for other staff due to nutritional knowledge and acts as a liaison between area of assignment, medical staff, and nutritional services department.
$52,848.00 - $79,272.00
Working hours will be Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, on call rotating weekends.
This position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.

Master's degree in foods and nutrition or a related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration, in good standing, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); or Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, dietetics, or related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration, in good standing, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and two years of experience in a clinical dietary setting.
