Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to assess nutritional needs and develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric. The role involves periodic evaluation of nutritional therapy and collaboration with nursing and medical staff to deliver comprehensive care and education.

A Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required, with two years of acute care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics.
• A Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.
• Current status as a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• A minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience is preferred.
• CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) or CNSD (Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and develop and implement nutrition care plans for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Periodically evaluate the effects of nutritional therapy.
• Cooperate with nursing and medical staff in providing complete and effective nutritional care and education for the patients and families and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
