Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, AL, seeks a Clinical Dietitian (FT) to assess patients, approve modified diets, and counsel families on nutrition.

You will collaborate with Dietary Services to contribute to care plans and monitor improvement activities, supporting the health of the community served.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years' dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional assessment and planning.
• Registration with the American Dietetic Association (RD or RDN) or similar organization and licensure per state of practice required.
• May be required to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Approves menus including modified diets.
• Provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed.
• Counsels patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles.
• Monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department.
• Contributes to development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs.

How you'll contribute

The Clinical Dietitian approves menus including modified diets, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and provides counsel to patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles. The Dietician monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department and provides input in the development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs.
