The Miami VA Healthcare System's NFS is seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Dietetic Technician. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program.
The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Clinical/Inpatient Supervisory Dietitian and is expected to complete work assignments with relative independence and minimal guidance after conferring with the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) regarding patient care, personally setting deadlines for completion of work. Assumes responsibility in work assignments in accordance with regulations and independently resolves most conflicts.
Work is reviewed to ensure the overall objectives of the position are met. The Advanced Clinical Dietetic Technicians (Clinical) in this assignment serve as a counterpart to the RDN functioning to assist in the completion of patient screening and assessments, including Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE), care plan development, diet counseling and record keeping.
