Job summary

Spaulding Hospital-Cambridge, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Dietetic Technician to assist the Dietitian in providing nutrition services to a broad patient population, including meal selections and special formulas. This per diem, onsite role supports patient care and requires good communication and attention to detail.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; DTR/NDTR preferred. Experience: 1–2 years with diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; experience may substitute.
• Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) preferred.
• 1-2 years dietetic technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists dietitian in the assessment of nutritional needs by obtaining meal selections.
• Interview patients to identify food preferences and allergies.
• DTRs only: Assesses patient calorie counts, percentage of food consumed by the patient, conducts meal rounds, diet restriction monitoring, etc.
• Maintains pertinent records.
