Job summary

Intermountain Health in Lehi, UT is seeking a Clinical Diet Tech to provide nutrition care under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). You will collect and analyze nutrition data, perform calorie counts, and document patient information in the EHR.

The part-time role (7 hrs/wk) involves ~3-hour shifts, Sun–Sat with weekends and holidays, starting at 6:15am. Location is Lehi with occasional SLC coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational and decision-making ability.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, internet and e-mail applications.
• Demonstrated advanced math skills.
• Experience transcribing information quickly and accurately.
• Experience in a healthcare setting or completion of nutrition-related college level coursework preferred.
• Experience with nutrient analysis software preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Clinical Diet Tech provides nutrition care and support to patients under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in the clinical setting. This position interacts with clinical staff, patients, and family members to collect, analyze, and document patient nutrition information. The Clinical Diet Tech partners with the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to help create and implement appropriate nutrition care plans.

Pay Rate: Based on Experience

Shift Details: Part-Time (7 hrs/wk). The shifts will be ~3 hours, Sun-Sat, rotating into weekends and holidays. Shifts start at 6:15am.

Additional Details: Location of LEHI main with SLC as occasional secondary.

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, etc.
