Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks an imaginative physician drug developer to lead clinical strategy and execution for RNAi therapeutics. The Senior Director, Clinical Research, will shape development plans, interact with regulators, and drive progress across Huntington’s disease and other programs in a matrix organization.

The role encompasses collaboration with Research, Preclinical, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs and Commercial teams, with hybrid work locations in Cambridge, MA or Maidenhead.

Qualifications

• MD with strong research background and board certification or specialist training is desirable.
• 10+ years industry experience or equivalent clinical academic experience.
• Sound scientific and clinical judgment.
• Successful track record of leading Phase 2/3 clinical programs, preferably Huntington’s disease, with major health authority interactions.

Responsibilities

• Be the strategic leader providing a strong, clear voice for clinical programs.
• Lead clinical efforts to secure global regulatory approvals and advance drug development.
• Oversee trial conduct and safety.
• Collaborate with Research, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Commercial to tightly integrate development plans.
• Interface with external experts and act as a development spokesperson at meetings.
