Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a senior clinical development leader to drive late-stage programs and IND-enabling submissions. You will guide global teams across development, regulatory, safety, and translational sciences, shaping strategies from discovery through human trials.

The role demands a proven track record in leading clinical programs, strong regulatory interactions, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree required (MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent).
  • Experience leading clinical trials, programs, submissions, or major development decisions.
  • Regulatory submission ownership for IND/CTA/NDA/MAA filings and health authority interactions.
  • Strong judgment to make timely calls with incomplete information.
  • Comfort in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop lifecycle strategy to expand late-stage assets and marketed indications.
  • Lead first-in-human and dose-escalation studies using PK/PD and emerging data.
  • Drive clinical strategy for IND-enabling submissions and human studies.
  • Provide pipeline-wide leadership across mechanisms, indications and phases.
  • Interpret emerging data and make timely data-driven decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and engage investigators, KOLs, health authorities, and partners.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lifecycle strategy: Identify and drive opportunities to expand the impact of late-stage and marketed assets, including new indications, label expansion, and formulation opportunities.
  • Early development: Lead first-in-human and dose-escalation studies, applying PK/PD and emerging clinical data to dose selection, decision rules, and next-stage development.
  • Clinical entry: Drive the clinical strategy and content for IND-enabling submissions and the decisions required to move programs into human studies.
  • Pipeline-wide leadership: Work across mechanisms, indications, and phases to make sound clinical development decisions.
  • Data-driven decisions: Interpret emerging clinical and scientific data, identify what matters, and make timely calls when information is incomplete.
  • Cross-functional and external leadership: Lead teams across clinical operations, biostatistics, regulatory, safety, translational sciences, and other disciplines; represent the company with investigators, KOLs, health authorities, and partners.
Qualifications

Benefits
  • Annualized base salary: $280,000–$350,000 USD.
