Job summary

The University of Utah Health - Academics, Division of Epidemiology, is seeking Clinical Data Managers for its Salt Lake City campus. The role involves data extraction, cleaning, and validation from multiple sources, along with creating data management plans, SOPs, and reports.

Responsibilities include ensuring data security, supporting study design, and producing visualizations using SQL, SAS, R, Power BI, Tableau, and more. Office hours are 40 per week in a day shift.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required with related work experience.
  • Experience with clinical data management and data governance beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of data standards, privacy, and security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and cleaning from multiple data sources.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, data management plans, and SOPs.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and confidentiality across the lifecycle.
  • Manage data imports/exports between systems and collaborate with researchers.
  • Develop routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Prepare statistical summaries and performance metrics.
  • Support study design, data collection, and analysis with investigators.
  • Conduct data quality reviews and prepare datasets for publication.
