Job summary

Florida Parishes Human Services Authority is seeking a Professional Counselor to provide clinical assessment and treatment for clients with mental health and substance use disorders at the Rosenblum Behavioral Health Clinic in Hammond, LA.

Position requires LPC or LMFT license in Louisiana and two years of licensed counseling experience, with certain pay premiums for direct patient care. Appointment may be probationary or permanent, with competitive SER rates.

Qualifications

• Must hold Louisiana LPC or LMFT license with two years licensed counseling experience.
• Ability to perform clinical assessment and treatment for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Experience in crisis evaluation and high-risk patient management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Completes intake and psycho-social evaluations for adults and some aftercare individuals.
• Produces reports and correspondence with other agencies regarding care.
• May provide crisis evaluation and intervention for individuals in acute distress.
