Xavier University invites applications for a 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) in the Department of Counseling to begin August, 2027. The role focuses on CACREP-accredited MA programs, community engagement, experiential learning, and social justice in a diverse learning environment.

Successful candidates will have at least two years of PK-12 counseling or clinical counseling experience, a doctorate in counseling/counselor education, and Ohio licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education.
• CACREP-accredited program experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as clinical or school counselor in PK-12.
• Current eligibility for Ohio licensure as a professional counselor.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours annually for this non-tenure-track faculty position.
• Advise and mentor students in the MA counseling programs.
• Actively contribute to the development and assessment of the counseling programs.
• Provide service, outreach, and leadership in the Department, College and University.
