Valley Health System seeks an experienced RN to oversee the Home Care Team operations at Kraft Center. You will manage referrals, scheduling (including weekends) and supervise staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

Required: NJ RN license, CPR, and 2+ years in home care; supervisory experience preferred. This full-time role calls for strong organization, communication, and adaptability in a dynamic patient-focused environment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To oversee and coordinate the overall clinical operations, functions, and activities of the Home Care Team to include, but not limited to: ensuring efficient processing of referrals, evaluating services, handling scheduling to include weekend scheduling, and supervising assigned staff.

EDUCATION:

Graduate from a NLN accredited School of Nursing. BSN or Associate RN from a NLN accredited school preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

At least two (2) years experience as a RN in Home Care/ or community health. Supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Current State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). CPR (BCLS) Certification required. Demonstrates effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills. Effective organization skills and ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system; with patients and family members; and with multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Rehab, Lab, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use critical thinking. Current and valid driver's license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating and acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
