Job summary

kalayasdestiny is seeking a Clinical Consultant for Enhanced Care Management, a part-time role with pathway to full-time. You will supervise ECM Lead Care Managers, ensure culturally competent care, and coordinate with managed care plans in a Medi-Cal context.

Required licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or supervision) and at least two years in care coordination for high-need populations, plus a CA driver’s license. Part-time contract rate offered; full-time salary also stated as market reference.

Qualifications

• Licensed or Waivered in Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Marriage & Family Therapy (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) — or working under supervision.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in care coordination/case management for SMI, SUD, or child welfare populations.
• Strong documentation, communication, and professional judgment skills.
• Valid Class C California Driver’s License with proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to Lead Care Managers through routine rounding and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Ensure ECM services are whole-person centered, linguistically and culturally appropriate.
• Guide Lead Care Managers in client safety; provide immediate consultation for escalation situations.
• Monitor quality improvement through documentation review, clinical consultations, and peer review.
• Oversee charting and documentation standards per ECM contracts with Managed Care Plans.
• Participate in regular meetings with managed care plans, contract liaisons, and community partners.
• Maintain knowledge of program standards; attend workshops and in-service programs.
• Provide direct services such as assessment support as required.

Role Overview

The ECM Clinical Consultant works under the direction of the ECM Unit Manager/Director and ensures clinical service quality for high-need clients enrolled in Medi-Cal managed care. Compensation

Part-Time / Contract Rate: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour (Rate is commensurate with experience.)

Full-Time Salary: $82,000 – $105,000 per year (Rates are competitive with LA County and Orange County market standards for licensed clinical consultants in ECM programs. Pay is commensurate with licensure (LCSW, MFT, LMFT, PhD, PsyD) and experience.)

Pre-Employment Requirements

All candidates must meet the following requirements prior to their start date:

• TB Test (Tuberculosis Screening) — A current negative TB test result is required. This must be completed and cleared before your first day.
• Background Check — All candidates must successfully pass a DOJ/FBI LiveScan fingerprint background check. A criminal history does not automatically disqualify you; records are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
