Job summary

Qualifications

• Active professional coding certification (AAPC/AHIMA) must remain current.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-CM, ICD-10, and HCPCS nomenclature.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform proactive compliance audits, pre-bill or concurrent reviews, and targeted education.
• Identify and address billing and coding risks using audit trends and payer updates.
• Collaborate with departments before new services or workflows are implemented to reduce risks.
