Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) for the Medical Surgical Unit III at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program is preferred or a CNA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care, including taking vital signs and performing phlebotomy (EKGs).
• Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) and track patient health status.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) while maintaining confidentiality.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans.
• Support emergency response by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) skills such as CPR when needed in acute situations.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients and contribute to safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain ongoing communication with nursing colleagues regarding patient status and care plans.
• Collaborate on the plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitions.

Education
