RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. The role supports RNs with hands-on nursing care, vital signs, and daily living activities within the Heart Failure Management Program.

The position is per diem, day shifts, and remunerated at $25.25 per hour. As a CCT, you will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while documenting care in the EHR and upholding infection control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CNA certificate or nursing program experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing nursing care including taking vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, bedside care, bathing, mouth care, and skin care.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health status.
• Document patient information accurately in EHR systems while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans.
• Support emergency response efforts by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) skills such as CPR when needed.
• Provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients and based on judgment and clinical criteria.
• Contribute to achieving safe patient outcomes through vigilant care and collaboration with the team.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of care.
• Participate in collaboration of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.

As a Clinical Care Technician (CCT), a typical day may include:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health status
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to facility policies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and address concerns
• Support emergency response efforts by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) skills such as CPR when needed in acute situations
• Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients
• Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
• Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient's care
• Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
