Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Care Technician to support the Nursing Float Pool at RWJ Somerset. Under the supervision of RNs, you will take vital signs, perform EKGs, assist with bedside care, and participate in patient care activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma and BLS certification. The position includes night shifts, full-time hours, and every other weekend commitments, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS through American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Taking vital signs and EKGs.
• Performing phlebotomy.
• Assisting patients with bedside care (bathing, mouth care, skin care).

• Every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work under the direction of the RN to provide care to the patients on the unit. Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to: Taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience in patient care preferred
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectivelyEffective verbal and written communication skills
