Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Care Associate to provide nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients.

Position operates within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team, and includes clerical duties, chart preparation, transcription of orders, and data entry into the patient care system.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and hygienic procedures.
• Works within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team and shares tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Performs general clerical and reception duties as needed in the patient unit or department.
• Prepares and maintains patient charts, transcribes physician orders, and enters information into the computerized patient care system.
