Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent.
• Preferred healthcare experience.
• BLS certification required by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care support under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with patients and families.
• Performs delegated nursing skills in accordance with hospital standards, nursing standards of care, and policies.
• Assists with patient transport, admission and discharge procedures, and unit environmental tasks.
• Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, including safety procedures and infection control.
• Communicates performance of clinical skills to the R.N. and health care team.
