Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) in Gainesville and Braselton seeks a licensed clinician to provide comprehensive assessments for mental health and chemical dependency patients. You will conduct clinical interviews, document thoroughly, and coordinate with Laurelwood and NGMC teams to ensure appropriate disposition and referrals.

The role includes counseling as indicated, adherence to protocol, and active participation in intake supervision.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field per licensure requirements.
Georgia licensure required (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

Provides assessments for mental health and chemical dependency patients.
Conducts mental health and chemical dependency assessments per protocol in ER, NGMC Floor, or Laurelwood lobby.
Reviews intake assessments daily to ensure triage protocol is followed.
Interviews patients to gather data and determine disposition.
Documents assessments and sessions in the medical record and department logs.
Maintains relationships with coworkers, referents, and Laurelwood/NGHS staff.
Performs pre-certification with payer sources and routes paperwork accordingly.
Provides counseling as indicated and supports discharge planning and referrals.
