Job summary

Truman Medical Centers is seeking a Clinical Audiologist (PRN) to join UH1 Audiology at University Health in Kansas City, MO. This part-time role offers a schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a small 4-hour weekly workload, providing patient audiology services and coordinating student intern activities.

Qualified candidates will hold an accredited audiology degree, Missouri license, and CCC from the Audiology Association. Prior hospital experience and BCLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Requires degree from accredited audiology program.
  • Missouri Audiology License required.
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from the Audiology Association.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an audiologist in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for documenting treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide audiology services to patients.
  • Plan, organize and conduct medically prescribed audiology programs for diverse patients.
  • Provide direction to service providers and audiology students.
  • Work independently with supervision when needed.
  • Develop assigned projects, programs and protocols.

Job Description
  • Provides Audiology services to patients.
  • Plans, organizes and conducts medically prescribed audiology programs to all patient populations in order to facilitate/restore the communicative, cognitive, and/or other related function on all appropriate patient populations.
  • Provides direction to service providers as needed and audiology students.
  • Works independently, seeks supervision when necessary.
  • Develops assigned projects, programs and protocols.
  • Coordinates Audiology Student / Intern program with designated schools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree and graduation from an accredited audiology program
  • Maintain Missouri Audiology License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the Audiology Association
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Audiologist in a hospital setting.
  • Verbal and written communication skills required to discuss and document treatment programs and work issues
  • Must maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support for continued employment.
