Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a clinical audiologist with an academic appointment as Faculty Associate to join our Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery team. The role involves providing comprehensive audiology services across ages in multiple clinics.

You will perform diagnostic evaluations, electrophysiology, vestibular testing, newborn screening, and assist with amplification, bone-anchored devices, and cochlear implants.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Audiology required.
• Texas licensure to practice Audiology required.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of audiological services to patients of all ages.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations and electrophysiological testing (ABR, ASSR, ECoG, VEMP).
• Conduct vestibular evaluations (ENG/VNG, platform posturography, rotary chair).
• Offer otoacoustic emissions and universal newborn hearing screening.
• Conduct hearing aid evaluation and dispensing; may support BAHA and cochlear implants.
• Support pediatric amplification and electrophysiology; work across satellite locations.

Job description

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a clinical audiologist, appointed with academic rank of Faculty Associate.

Responsibilities in clinical audiology can include provision of a full range of audiological services to patients of all ages.

Services provided at our clinics include diagnostic audiological evaluations, electrophysiological testing (ABR, ASSR, ECoG, VEMP), vestibular evaluations (ENG/VNG, platform posturography, sinusoidal harmonic acceleration/rotary chair), otoacoustic emissions and/or universal newborn hearing screening. The audiologist may also conduct hearing aid evaluation, dispense hearing aid devices, and/or provide bone anchored hearing implant or cochlear implant services. Areas of growth include all areas of coverage, with more rapid growth for pediatric services, including amplification and electrophysiology, as well as coverage at satellite locations, including Fort Worth and Frisco.

We are a large, collaborative team. We are looking for emotionally mature and positive individuals with a strong work ethic. Experience is preferred but not required.

The candidate must have a doctoral degree and license in Audiology for the State of Texas.
