Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) invites applications for a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Begin Spring 2027. This full-time, non-tenure track 9-month academic appointment emphasizes teaching and clinical supervision in a bicultural, supportive environment.

The department offers degrees in CSD and related fields. The candidate will engage in scholarly activity, service, and advising while contributing to student success on

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in CSD or related field; ABD considered if completion before start.
• Master's degree in CSD with a Speech-Language Pathology concentration.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience or related professional experience.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience with pediatric/adult clients.
• Active Texas licensure to practice as an SLP or ability to obtain it.
• ASHA CCC-SLP highly encouraged; foundational audiology knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned speech-language pathology courses each semester.
• Provide clinical supervision of students in diverse settings.
• Complete administrative tasks for taught courses and advise students.
• Engage in scholarly and professional activities at local, state, and national levels.
• Participate in service to the department, college, and university; attend on-site regularly.
