Responsibilities*

The Department of Urology at the University of Michigan seeks a Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery (GURS)?trained urologist to join a growing academic Men's Health and Reconstruction Division. This is a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor appointment on the Clinical Track.

This 0.8 cFTE faculty position will have a primary clinical focus on complex genitourinary reconstruction. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-volume, academically oriented reconstructive urology practice within a leading academic medical center.

Clinical Responsibilities

The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in advanced reconstructive urology.

Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Urethral Reconstruction

Penile Reconstruction and surgical management of Peyronie's Disease

Surgical Management of Erectile Dysfunction

Surgical Management of Male Stress Urinary Incontinence

Surgical management of Buried Penis

Complex reconstructive procedures including skin graft

Robotic and open ureteral and bladder reconstruction

Longitudinal care of patients with prior reconstructive surgery or adverse outcomes

Faculty are also expected to participate in departmental clinical conferences, educational activities, and multidisciplinary collaboration as appropriate.

Required Qualifications*

Completion of an ACGME-accredited urology residency

Completion of a Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery (GURS) fellowship

Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology

Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Michigan

Demonstrated excellence in clinical care

Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and program development
