Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care management in an OB/Gyn clinic. You will perform clerical and clinical duties under supervision, document care in the EMR, take vital signs, and support the physician and RN with patient flow and equipment.

Preferred qualifications include CMA certification, CPR/BLS, and experience with EPIC EMR, with Spanish language skills a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• License/Certification: CMA certification and BLS/CPR credentials.
• Experience: OB patient care in ambulatory settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refer patients to resources for continuity of care and health promotion.
• Record data and monitor patient responses to inform goal setting.
• Document interventions in the EMR and take vital signs.
• Assist OB/Gyn physicians and support RN with equipment and sterilization.
• Communicate patient data via EMR to aid clinical decisions.
• Attend training and participate in department meetings as required.
