Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

Job No: 539369 • Full Time • Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)

The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research and the UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI) invite applications for a full‑time, 12‑month, non‑tenure‑track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate or Professor. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment in the College of Pharmacy and be responsible for teaching; service to the College of Pharmacy, the Cancer Institute, and the pharmacy profession; and engagement in research and scholarly activity. The position will include a negotiable level of clinical pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Key duties include:

  • Teach courses in pharmacotherapy and related subjects.
  • Provide service to the College, Cancer Institute, and the pharmacy profession.
  • Engage in scholarly research and clinical practice.
  • Serve as Assistant Director of the Experimental Therapeutics Group.
  • Collaborate as co‑investigator on all early‑phase investigator‑initiated trials.
  • Hold voting membership on the Scientific Review and Monitoring Committee and the UFHCI Senior Leadership Council.
  • Advance translational research correlatives in investigator‑initiated trials.
Minimum Requirements (Classification)
  • Clinical Assistant Professor: Highest degree in the field or equivalent professional experience; evidence of pertinent experience and qualities for the academic unit.
  • Clinical Associate Professor: Highest degree plus professional experience exceeding the highest degree; evidence of creative work, professional writing, successful teaching, and research; distinguished record beyond assistant professor.
  • Clinical Professor: Qualified for associate professor and recognized as a national or international authority or outstanding teacher; distinguished record beyond associate professor.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) and formal post‑doctoral training (fellowship, residency) or equivalent oncology education; academic record suitable for appointment at the specified rank.
  • Eligibility for Florida licensure.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Criminal background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong oncology pharmacology training and precision oncology experience.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Record of sustained accomplishments in research, clinical practice, and teaching.
