Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Clinical Assistant / Certified Orthotic Fitter to support clinicians in patient care, prepare treatment areas and assist with the fabrication and modification of devices. The role requires attention to detail and strong teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Under supervision, you will handle mold fabrication, fittings, and documentation, while ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient facing role.
• Valid driver's license and driving record per policy.
• Allied health license/certification may be supervised indirectly.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified clinicians in delivering patient care under direct supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for clinical procedures.
• Perform technical fabrication tasks, including making and modifying molds.
• Execute treatment modifications, adjustments, and repairs as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Fit and provide orthotics and soft goods items to patients.
• Provide alterations and adjustments to soft goods as needed.
• Provide orthotics fitting services independently.
• Assist with selected patient follow-up care under clinician direction.
• Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care provided.
• Communicate patient information and care outcomes to the supervising clinician.
• Ensure all patient procedures comply with clinical protocols and standards.
• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory monitoring of prosthetic and orthotic materials.
• Coordinate with vendors to order necessary materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to safety regulations; Medicare and OSHA requirements.
