Job summary

Malvern Treatment Centers is seeking a full-time Clinical Aide to provide direct patient care for adults with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. The role includes assisting with therapy activities, documenting in medical records, and supporting unit programming during the day shift and alternating weekend coverage.

The position requires a background in mental health care, CPR certification (preferred), and the ability to interact with patients, families and staff in a therapeutic,

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in related mental health discipline from an accredited college or university.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in a chemical dependency/mental health setting.
• CPR certification preferred; Verbal de-escalation training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults with chemical dependency or co-occurring disorders.
• Assist with unit programming and carryover of therapy activities.
• Contribute to safety, infection control and crisis intervention as needed.
• Document significant interactions in the medical record and communicate issues to the team.
• Assist with drug screens and supervision of activities and groups.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and collaborate with Coordinators, Case Managers and supervisors.
