Clinical Advocate (Plymouth, MN)

The Clinical Advocate in the RespirTech business serves as a key liaison between internal operations, healthcare teams, and field sales, ensuring seamless coordination, exceptional customer support, and efficient order processing. This role combines operational expertise with clinical documentation review responsibilities to support reimbursement, verify medical necessity, and ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards.

Your role: Serve as the primary liaison between Operations, Healthcare Teams, and Sales, ensuring seamless communication, exceptional customer support, and timely resolution of order-related questions and issues. Support end-to-end order processing by obtaining required documentation, providing order status updates, and delivering pipeline reporting and analytics to the field sales team. Review medical records and clinical documentation to assess medical necessity and support reimbursement eligibility in accordance with payer requirements. Partner with healthcare providers and internal teams to secure accurate documentation needed for order fulfillment, coverage determination, and payment source procurement. Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and quality standards, including HIPAA, ACHC, contractual obligations, and standard operating procedures.

You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Administrative Support or equivalent, preferably in healthcare, health insurance, and/or durable medical equipment, with Vocational Education OR no prior experience with Bachelor's Degree. Your skills include: Ability to read, interpret and review medical records. Strong attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated superior customer service skills. Ability to organize and prioritize workload. Comfortable working across multiple applications and screens simultaneously to support efficient decision-making and productivity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word and Excel. Keyboard proficiency required.

You have a High School Diploma, Vocational Education/ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or an equivalent 6+ years of above related experience. You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This is an office role.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Plymouth, MN is $26.00-$40.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
