The Clinical Advisor provides leadership in nursing services, supports quality nursing care, and participates in performance reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and standard development under the guidance of a Nurse Leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate resource allocation; act as a clinical resource for staff; support nursing division activities.
• Assess patient and family issues, acuity levels, staff and physician concerns; update staff and delegate duties accordingly.
• Provide clinical consultation and interpret changes in nursing practice and standards of care.
• Identify learning needs and update clinical knowledge through education and literature review.
• Participate in nursing research, utilizing current research findings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate.
• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in nursing roles.
• Experience with computer systems, including web applications and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty expertise.

Competencies:

Includes decision-making, problem-solving, independence of action, communication skills, knowledge, teamwork, customer service, and age-specific competencies.

Physical work involves exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and moving around during shifts.
