Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a licensed acupuncturist to provide medically necessary acupuncture treatments and comprehensive assessments under the supervision of the Sub-Chief of Physical Medicine.

The role includes diagnosing and documenting patient responses, with support for Workers’ Compensation cases and adherence to standard medical practices. A California acupuncture license and NPI are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with four academic years of education and extensive theory hours in biology, physics, anatomy, pathology and related fields.
• Licensed Acupuncturist (California) with NPI at hire and Basic Life Support.
• Education includes traditional Oriental medicine theory, needling techniques and clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically necessary acupuncture, assessments and treatments as requested by physicians.
• Document treatments and patient responses; ensure accurate diagnosis with standard exam techniques.
• Prepare medical reports when working within Workers' Compensation; communicate findings per WC terminology.
