Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in examination and treatment under physician supervision. You will perform patient intake, record vital signs, and document health histories in the electronic medical record.
The role requires good bedside manner, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic, and familiarity with medical terminology. Prior medical assistant training and BLS certification are preferred.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday8:00 A - 5:00 P
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Conducts intake on patients, vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and completes patient health history in the electronic medical record. Displays good decision making skills and has knowledge of anatomy and proficient in medical terminology. Must be able to multi task. May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, might be exposed to bodily fluids during patient care. Must be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours.
This job will be authorized64.00 hours bi-weekly.
