Job summary

Regional Health Services in LeRoy, Minnesota is hiring for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) roles. The resource nurse will plan, coordinate, evaluate, and deliver patient care in our clinic.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing program, Iowa RN/LPN license, CMA certification or eligibility, and be prepared to obtain BCLS within three months. Prior healthcare experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• A current Iowa license as an LPN or RN is required.
• CMA: high school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an approved medical assistant program, CMA certification within six months.
• Minimum of six months prior health care experience preferred.
• Basic computer and telephone skills preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Must be flexible and adaptable; accountable for own actions.
• Obtain BCLS certification within three months of position start.

Position Highlights

POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse serves as a resource nurse who plans, coordinates, evaluates, provides for, and delivers health care services to patients. The Medical Assistant provides support in the medical field by performing various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

RN or LPN:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A current Iowa license as an LPN or RN is required.

CMA:

• High school diploma or equivalents.
• Graduate of an approved school for medical assistants.
• Certification as a medical assistant within six months of hire.

All:

• Minimum of six months previous work experience in a health care facility performing duties related to patient care is preferred.
• Basic computer and telephone skills preferred
• Strong communication skills required.
• Maintain/display professionalism with all patients and coworkers.
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, including time management and work flow required.
• Must be flexible and adaptable.
• Must be willing to accept responsibility and accountability for own actions.
• Obtain certificate in BCLS within three months in position.
