Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Waverly, IA seeks an RN to provide direct nursing care during clinic visits and to assist providers with examinations, procedures, and assessments. You will administer medications, conduct telephone triage, and coordinate follow-up care to support positive patient outcomes.

You will also collect specimens, educate patients and families, document in the EHR, and collaborate with the clinic team to ensure safe, high‑quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in IA or IL.
• Ability to provide direct nursing care and coordinate referrals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and support to patients during clinic visits.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and patient assessments.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and other ordered treatments within scope of practice.
• Conduct telephone triage and provide patient guidance and follow-up care coordination.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform clinical procedures as appropriate.
• Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up care to support positive patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with providers and clinic team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
• Support quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the clinic

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Registered Nurse.
