Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to assess and address patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, and to develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires RN with Colorado license and ADN; BLS certification. You will perform IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, and thorough documentation while promoting patient education and safety. Preference for 1+ medical office experience.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (Colorado).
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience with nursing documentation and charting.
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary team.
  • Observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Perform IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Advocate for patient safety and rights; educate patients and families.
  • Coordinate and implement group visits for high-risk patients.
  • Support care transitions, medication reconciliation, and service coordination.
  • Contribute to patient experience initiatives.

Job Description:

Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection. Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching. Encourages patient engagement in healthcare through motivational interviewing, self-management protocols, and teach-back methodology. Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity. Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy. Other duties as assigned. Coordinates and implements group visits for identified high-risk patient populations. Aids in the care transition of high-risk patients, including medication reconciliation and coordination of services.Contributes to continuous process improvement by actively participating in patient experience and satisfaction initiatives.
