Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physician Assistant in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will evaluate patients, manage documentation, and coordinate care among providers. You will also follow up on tests and communicate essential information to patients.

To qualify, you must be a graduate from an accredited program, licensed in Texas, and board certified or eligible. The compensation for this role ranges from $109,500 to $164,000 plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as physician extender in the clinic setting
• Evaluate patients in the clinic setting
• Document evaluations in a timely manner
• Order medications and tests as per guidelines and protocols
• Follow-up on tests and consults
• Schedule clinical studies as per guidelines and protocols
• Coordinate referrals/consults
• Handle MKO messages, results, CC charts, telephone encounters and surgical risk assessments

Education

Graduate from an Accredited School of Physician Assistant Studies or Master's in Nursing

Licensed in the State of Texas

Board Certified and/or Board Eligible
