St. Mary’s Health & Clearwater Valley Health is seeking a patient care support role to assist with rooming patients, data entry into the EMR, and coordinating patient intake with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• 1 year experience in health care related field preferred.
• CNA, EMT or EMTA or ASCP Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Room patients (obtain vitals, medical history, etc.) and enter data into EMR and communicate patient intake information to nurse. Clean and restock rooms, order supplies. Checks medication supplies for outdated medications and destroys according to proper protocol. Preview medical records to assess for care gaps; assist patients as they navigate through different departments of the hospital in the course of care and treatment.

• Proficiency of electronic systems is required to perform tasks using data and/or ability to learn system with ease.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
• Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• CNA, EMT or EMTA or ASCP Phlebotomy Certification preferred
• Drivers license preferred
• 1 year experience in health care related field preferred

Full time, 40 hours per week, M-F some Saturdays
