Baptist Health Arkansas Clinic Stuttgart is seeking a Clinic Medical Assistant to support the BH Surgical Clinic Stuttgart. You will assist physicians, perform patient intake, record vital signs, and document health histories in the electronic medical record.

The role requires strong multi-tasking, knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, and professional interaction with patients. Some blood collection and specimen preparation may be required; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• American Heart Association, BLS certification.

Summary:

The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant will conduct patient intake, take vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record. The ideal candidate will display good decision making skills, be able to multi-task, have knowledge of anatomy, and is proficient in medical terminology. This role may be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, which may involve exposure to bodily fluids during patient care. The assistant must be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours.

• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: Completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
• EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: American Heart Association, BLS
• PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to a variety of healthcare settings, including clinical, office or maintenance environments

This job will be authorized80.00 hours bi-weekly.
