Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide patient care under physician or RN supervision in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with examinations, administering medications/immunizations, coordinating tests, and supporting patient flow. Part-time, 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday, with hands-on duties and strict adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• Current LVN license in Texas or compact state.
• BLS certification is required.
• CERT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Under physician direction; performs basic patient care duties including vitals, weighing patients, and collecting specimens (phlebotomy at site).
• Assists providers with examinations and patient flow through the clinic.
• Answers phone/messages and assists with patient-related calls.
• Schedules tests, results, and pre-certification.
• Documents patient information.
• Administers medications/immunizations per provider order.
• Cleans, restocks exam rooms and orders stock supplies; maintains sterile technique.
• Performs routine clerical duties and attends trainings.
