Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Shreveport, Louisiana seeks an LPN to provide care under physician supervision in a clinic setting. You will perform patient measurements, specimen collection, and assist with exams and treatments while maintaining patient flow and safety.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active license in the state of employment (or compact), per site requirements.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• CERT credential as specified in site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Under physician direction; performs basic patient care duties including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens (including phlebotomy where applicable).
• Assists providers in examinations and treatments and with procedures; helps patient flow through the clinic.
• Answers phones, records messages, and assists with test scheduling, results, pre-certification, and patient communication.
• Administers medications and immunizations according to provider orders.
• Maintains exam rooms and cleans equipment; orders stock supplies and maintains sterile technique and universal protocols as site requires.
• Attends required meetings and completes in-service training; performs other duties as assigned.
