CoxHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Ozark clinic to perform administrative duties and clinical nursing tasks in a busy outpatient setting. The LPN will handle phones, scheduling, and data entry in medical records, and assist with vital signs, medication lists, and patient preparation for exams.

Responsibilities include administering medications as ordered by the physician, maintaining clean exam rooms, and stocking supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program.
• Current Missouri LPN license or Graduate Practical Nurse with active status.
• Ambulatory/outpatient clinic experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and data entry in medical records.
• Measure and record vital signs; review medication list.
• Prepare patients for examination; clean rooms and stock supplies.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.

Job Description:

The LPN performs administrative duties that include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications as ordered by the physician. Performs specific competencies as directed by the department.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an state board accredited practical nursing program

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite.
• Proficient Computer skills

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri
• Preferred: IV certification in State of Missouri
