Job summary

WVU Hospitals - University Health Morgantown (Outpatient Clinic) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in a busy outpatient setting. You will screen patients, take vital signs, administer medications, and assist providers during exams.

The role requires strong teamwork with the physician and RN to ensure efficient, safe patient care. Minimum qualifications include an active LPN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state where services will be provided or multi-state license through eNLC.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral medications as ordered.
• Screen patients and obtain health data (height, weight, vital signs) for medical records.
• Collaborate with Providers and Registered Nurse to guide care delivery.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record; report concerns promptly.
• Assist with examinations and procedures and ensure efficient patient flow through the clinic.
