Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support day-to-day operations, manage patient charts, and coordinate care with the clinical team in our Bismarck clinic.

You will collaborate with physicians, prepare for patient visits, educate families, and mentor staff while maintaining patient flow and upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a school of nursing.
  • Licensed by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
  • One year clinical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Family support: Collaborate with patients and families for holistic care.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You will take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. Every day, you will manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic. To be successful in this role, you must have an enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and with empathy for our patients.

  • Care Planning: Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to improve patient outcomes
  • Family Support: Collaborates with patients and their families to ensure a holistic approach to care and goal achievement
  • Patient/Family Education: Assess and meets the educational needs of patients and their families by applying evidence-based teaching principles
  • Staff Mentorship: Provides guidance and education to coworkers to foster a knowledgeable and skilled clinical environment
  • Strategic Delegation: Assigns nursing tasks based on an accurate assessment of staff competencies, qualifications, and specific patient requirements
  • Professional Competency: Maintains clinical excellence by successfully completing all required job-specific and age-specific certifications

We are offering a $20,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
