Job summary

Denova Collaborative Health in the Greater Phoenix area is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to oversee clinic floor operations, supervise Medical Assistants and Patient Engagement Specialists, and ensure smooth daily workflows while maintaining exceptional patient care.

You will train, coach, and evaluate the team, conduct regular audits, address patient concerns with empathy, and coordinate with clinic leadership to optimize performance and patient experience.

Qualifications

  • MA certification, current BLS, and AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • At least 5 years as a Medical Assistant with clinical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and proven leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in EMR, billing software, insurance portals, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinic floor operations and supervise MAs and PES.
  • Direct prioritization of clinic needs to ensure optimal patient care and workflow.
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to MAs and PES.
  • Perform audits and evaluations of MAs and PES for continuous improvement.
  • Address patient escalations with empathy before involving the clinic manager.
