SheLeads Staffing seeks a Clinic-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support pediatric and adult clients in daily living activities under an occupational therapist's guidance. You will implement treatment plans, adapt activities to individual needs, and help coordinate care with clients, families, and other health professionals.

In this role you’ll work with diverse populations, including children with developmental delays or autism and adults needing rehabilitative support.

• Experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, and ADLs is preferred.

As a Clinic-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll help clients build skills for daily living through occupational therapy services guided by an occupational therapist's care plans. You'll support pediatric and adult clients, adapt treatment to individual needs, and keep care coordinated with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Implement treatment plans and assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), using safe manual handling and patient care practices.
• Support pediatric occupational therapy, including care for childhood developmental delays and clients with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders; also serve clients with disabilities and geriatric clients.
• Communicate with clients and caregivers, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and document care clearly and accurately.
• Assist with patient transport and coordinate care needs, including relevant medical imaging information, as appropriate to the role.
• Your impact: Consistent, individualized treatment helps clients and caregivers make progress toward meaningful daily activities and greater participation.

Qualifications

• Required: Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential and applicable authorization to practice; knowledge of occupational therapy, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Preferred: Clinic, outpatient, inpatient, acute care, skilled nursing facility, or home health experience; occupational health experience is also valued.
• Experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, ADLs, care plans, treatment implementation, care documentation, caregiver and client communication, and safe manual handling is helpful.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, is a plus.
