Job Description

As a multi-modality diagnostic imaging provider committed to delivering Exceptional Patient Care, CDC provides patients and health care professionals with advanced diagnostic imaging of the body’s most important organs and systems.

Our state-of-the-art, multi-modality clinics are expanding, and we're looking for a passionate and dedicated Patient Coordinator to join our team. This Temporary full-time position at our MIRA Clinic offers the chance to be part of a dynamic, patient-focused environment where every day there is an opportunity to make a real impact on patient care.

As a Patient Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our clinic’s operations. Your primary role will be to assist patients with the pre-exam process, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared for diagnostic imaging procedures. You’ll help maintain a welcoming environment, manage appointment schedules, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Escort patients to change rooms and provide instructions on how to dress for exams (e.g., gown, open to back).
  2. Review patient files with patients, including Name, AHC, and Exam Type; assist patients with changing or completing necessary paperwork.
  3. Chaperone male Sonographers when necessary, assist with patient positioning, and escort family members to ultrasound rooms.
  4. Ensure changing rooms are stocked, clean, and ready for patient use. Replenish supplies as needed.
  5. Check new or modified appointments, assist with printing OB photos, and monitor patient files for accuracy.
  6. Assist with the preparation of biopsy samples and clean EV probes by medical guidelines.
  7. Help with clerical tasks such as scanning, answering phones, rescheduling appointments, checking in patients, and performing Netcare checks.
  8. Monitor and input errors into the Quality Management Tracker (QMT) to maintain high standards of patient care.
  9. Support and train new hires and practicum students in patient coordination duties.
  10. Provide patients with baskets to store their personal belongings during their exams. Ensure that the baskets are cleaned and sanitized after each use to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

What We’re Looking For

  1. A Medical Office Administration certificate is required.
  2. Previous experience in a medical or diagnostic imaging setting is preferred.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong sense of empathy for patients.
  4. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy clinic environment.
  5. Strong attention to detail in managing patient files, coordinating appointments, and maintaining a clean clinic environment.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best care for patients.
  7. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Notes

  1. This is a temporary full-time position with benefits, initially for a 9-month term, with the possibility of extension.
  2. The shift hours for this position are 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM MST.
