Job summary

Bryan Health is seeking a registered nurse to assist physicians in examinations and procedures, ensuring professional patient care and confidentiality. The role includes coordinating patient flow, lab work, and nurse visits to support quality care and service goals.

The nurse will provide care under physician direction, comply with licensure requirements, and help maintain orderly exam rooms while supporting education for tests and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required.

Responsibilities

• Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
• Maintains flow of patients in accordance with time of appointment in order to avoid delays for the provider and undue waiting for patients.
• Collects subjective and objective data and contributes to the assessment of the patient; documents appropriately in the patient chart.
• Makes accurate and timely observations and documents changes in the patient’s condition in the patient chart.
• Retrieves messages and responds to calls from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes and other medical offices by use of telephone and computer in a timely manner as delegated by licensed heath care provider (MD, PA, NP).
• Assists the medical provider with all examinations and procedures.
• Keeps the exam rooms clean, disinfected and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Schedules follow-up procedures/appointments and specialty appointments.
• Explains tests and preparation as needed for adequate patient education.
• Monitors inventory of supplies and communicates information to Office Manager.
• Administers injections, vital signs, vision and auditory testing as delegated.
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

Coordinates the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care and customer service goals. Education and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
