The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to join our Richmond, VA team. You will lead a crew, plan and execute arboricultural work, and ensure client safety and satisfaction daily.

You will receive comprehensive benefits, paid time off, a 401(k) match, and a sign-on bonus. The role requires outdoor work, climbing skills, and the ability to complete Davey training modules upon hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Complete Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete First Aid, CPR and Defensive Driving courses upon hire.
• Preferred pesticide licenses/certificates.
• Preferred ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsabilités

• Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work.
• Lead a crew safely to provide arboricultural care for clients.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood in tree canopies; install cables and bracing.
• Remove hazardous trees and mentor crew through career development program.
• Operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.

Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
