The Davey Tree Expert Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to join a dynamic team of landscape professionals. The role is outdoor, with an on-site work environment and opportunities for advancement within an employee-owned company.

You will climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, safely providing arboricultural care; responsibilities include pruning, cabling, removal of hazardous trees, and operating tools and equipment while mentoring crew members through

Formación

• Experience leading a crew.
• Ability to climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Must complete required safety trainings and orientation upon hire.
• Preferred credentials: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Tree Worker, or TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional

Responsabilidades

• Safely provide arboricultural care for clients, including pruning, thinning and removing deadwood from tree canopies.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems; remove hazardous trees; operate and maintain tools and equipment.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program; collaborate with ground crew to complete jobs.

What You'll Do

• How high you grow depends on you!
• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Safely and productively provide arboricultural care for our clients, including but not limited to:
  • Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process
  • Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
  • Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
  • Removal of hazardous trees
  • Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
  • Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew
• In addition, Crew Leaders will also:
  • Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program

What We're Looking For

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: Experience with the job duites listed above
• Required: Experience leading a crew
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
